Kearny, NJ — Chief Scott Macfie of the Kearny Police Department proudly announces the graduation of Officer Christian Medina from the 123rd New Jersey State Police Crime Scene School. This seven-week program is among the most rigorous crime scene investigation trainings available in the state, equipping officers with advanced skills in evidence collection, analysis, and preservation.

Officer Medina joins a distinguished group of past Kearny graduates, including Captain Timothy Wagner, Detective Frank West, Sergeant Neil Nelson, Officer Jonathan Dowie, and Detective Jordenson Jean.

Following his graduation, Officer Medina will take on a new role in the Kearny Police Department’s BCI Unit, where he will apply his training to strengthen the detective bureau’s investigative capabilities.

“We are proud of Officer Medina’s accomplishment and dedication,” said Chief Macfie. “The specialized training he has received will not only enhance our department’s investigative capabilities but also strengthen our commitment to justice and public safety for the residents of Kearny.”
